HP launched CloudPrint, a way to print documents using your cell phone. The New York Times writes:

The underlying idea is to unhook physical documents from a user’s computer and printer and make it simple for travelers to take their documents with them and use them with no more than a cellphone and access to a local printer.

This is pretty neat. You print to a special driver, send it over the Internet, and then you can print the document anywhere. No more carrying a laptop around just for a few slides.

Printer Virtualization

Memory, terminals, then whole computers, storage, everything had been virtualized… Now, CloudPrint looks to me like the first step towards true printer virtulization.
